Background: Thyroid nodules are common with annual increasing trends worldwide. 5% to 15% of the thyroid nodules is thyroid cancer. The prevalence of thyroid nodule is 3%–7% prevalence by palpation and 19%–67% by high resolution ultrasound. Thyroid nodules are more prevalent in women and older age group.
